Colour forecasting of 2011 Fall RTW(2)

As the image of the brand is modern , innovative and distinguishing, I predict the analogic colour scheme will be used. Black and white should be the first and second choice of the prediction. In 2011, the financial tsunami should be passed away and all the people in the world will be happier and more optimistic than now. I predict that the colour should be brighter and sharper to reflect the culture and a wonderful future. In the past collections, many of them use black to contrast the high value colour that can creat a powerful and active image. Also, the colours are seldom seen in luxury fashion brand and there are many matching of these colour ,therefore, this is a chance for them to show their power in innovation of fashion and distinguishing to other fashion brands.

Colour forecasting of 2011 Fall RTW(1)

According to the 00-09 Fall RTW collection of DOLCE&GABBANA, white and black colour should be included in the collections so I predict that the colour family of the collection in 2011 will have black and white colour. In this colour family, I use brown and blue colour as the theme colour as these two colours represent the nature expecially the plant. The brown colour is usually appeared in the collections so I predict brown will appear again. As Dolce&Gabbana have Mediterranean flavour which has high marine pollution and now environmental protection is concerned globally so I predict blue is a trend in the future. Blue and brown are complementary colours so they can creat special idea and image of DOLCE&GABANNA. The theme is the environmental protection of marine which is creative and meaningful.

2009 Fall RTW

For this collection, a large propotion of outfits use achromatic colour scheme, only about ten outfits contain other colours rather than white,black and grey. The shocking pink colour can creat a contrasting mood and it is very sharp under black and this matching is very popular among fashion or other products so it can creat a modern mood of the brand as the brand image is modern and bold. Also, the designer use the priting and outline to emphasis the white and black matching. I think it is the most easier and simplest matching of black and white colour so this can examinate the design on pattern and outlines.

I forecast that Black and white should appear on the 2011 Fall RTW collection.

2008 Fall RTW

This collection use many mono-chromatic colour scheme on the outfits. The main colour are grey ,brown and blue. Brown and blue is complementary colours. The colour are used very well with the materials. The colours are in low value and creat a nature mood. I think that brown colour represents the lands and the blue colour represent the sea and sky, the grey colour represent the stone, all these thing is nature in the earth.

I forecast that the nature colour will be included in the 2011 Fall RTW.

I have found that this two collections use sharp colour contrasting with the black colour, the theme colour is black as well. As the design become more modern than the before collection, it uses the many bright colour to show the unique design and creat a modern look. The colours are mainly primany colours and complementary colour scheme used mostly.

I forecast that the collection of 2011 Fall RTW will be related to this style and colours in these two years.
